Meditation & Mindfulness

“The quieter you become the more you are able to hear”
– Rumi

What is Meditation, Anyway?

Meditation is a collection of modern and ancient techniques and practices, scientifically proven to settle the nervous system and train the brain to be more focused, engaged and less emotionally reactive. It is a simple and powerful pathway to health, resilience, optimal performance and self-discovery.

Why Meditate?

Are you looking for what’s missing in your life or want to find an unshakeable sense of peace…no matter what the world out there is up to? A regular meditation practice allows just that – and it only takes a few minutes every day. You’ll learn to turn your attention inward and connect with who you really are, outside of your roles and responsibilities.

Meditation is also the perfect anecdote to modern day stress. Often, that stress is due to our out-of-balance lifestyles, and those not-so-nourishing choices we habitually make. The good news is that because the mind and body are so intimately connected, when the mind settles down, so does the body. This allows for the release of many stress-induced physical symptoms. And since most disease is triggered or worsened by stress, meditation is really good for your physical and mental health!

Despite what you may think, there couldn’t be anything easier or more natural than establishing your own daily meditation practice. If you are willing to set aside a few minutes each day, I am happy to teach you how.

What’s in it for You?

Meditation produces a very deep state of physical rest that helps settle the nervous system and helps you become more engaged and less emotionally reactive. Regular meditators have been found to be more relaxed, happier, more productive and more compassionate than non-meditators. They report higher levels of confidence, a greater sense of peace, a clearer mind, and better decision-making. Meditation is good for your body and soul!
